Hydrogen
sustainable future in reach

Hydrogen is a clean energy source that enables true zero-carbon emissions at the point of end use, with diverse and widely available feedstock sources. As such, it represents a key green energy solution for advancing deep decarbonization in sectors including transportation and industry.

Industry Overview

Comprehensive Hydrogen Refueling System Solution

The overall solution for hydrogen refueling stations constitutes a specialized integration system of engineering technologies. At its core is the establishment of a complete, efficient, and highly reliable technical chain for hydrogen handling, encompassing the stages of reception/preparation, purification, compression, storage, and refueling. This system typically comprises four principal subsystems: the front-end hydrogen supply module (comprising gas unloading units or on-site hydrogen generation systems such as electrolyzers or reformers), the high-pressure processing unit (including compressors, sequence control panels, and high-pressure hydrogen storage arrays), the refueling terminal (featuring pre-cooling units and hydrogen dispensers), and the integrated station control and safety management system.

Industry Challenges

Economic challenges

High comprehensive usage cost: The three major pain points of "expensive hydrogen, expensive vehicles, and expensive stations" coexist.

Technical and supply chain challenges

Key materials and technologies are "hindered", and there are bottlenecks in storage and transportation technology. The technology for large-scale, long-distance, and low-cost storage and transportation has not yet matured.

Infrastructure and coordination challenges

The utilization rate of hydrogen refueling stations is low. Currently, the average number of vehicles serviced by each station is only about 43. With many stations but few vehicles, most of these refueling stations are operating at a loss.

Value Contained

Commercial Value: Driving Synergistic Development of the Hydrogen Industry Chain

The hydrogen industry chain (including hydrogen production, storage, transportation, fuel cells, and vehicle manufacturing) is driven to develop synergistically, promoting industrial upgrading and creating new momentum for economic growth. The high refueling efficiency of hydrogen refueling stations addresses the pain points of fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) such as "short range and slow refueling," accelerating their commercialization process and unlocking huge market potential in the future.

Environmental Value: Zero Emissions and Lifecycle Emission Reduction

Fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) emit only water, and the promotion of hydrogen refueling stations directly reduces carbon emissions in the transportation sector, effectively alleviating urban smog and air pollution. Locally produced green hydrogen is most beneficial to the climate, with lifecycle carbon dioxide emissions approximately 80% lower than those of diesel trucks (theoretical value), delivering significant environmental benefits and contributing to the achievement of the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals."

Social Value: Promoting Energy Transition and Improving People's Livelihood

The construction of hydrogen refueling stations drives the transformation of the energy structure from fossil fuels to clean energy, reducing dependence on traditional gasoline and natural gas. The construction and operation of hydrogen stations require a large number of technical personnel and management talents, creating more job opportunities. It also allows the public to have close contact with hydrogen energy, popularizing its cleanliness and safety, and enhancing public awareness and acceptance.
