Anti-Rodent Cable

Identification Type Cable is a special type of optical cable that has colored stripes added to its outer sheath for identification purposes. It is mainly used for engineering maintenance, manufacturer identification, and to differentiate products.

Product Description

Anti-Rodent cables are made by inserting single-mode optical fibers into loose tubes made of high-modulus polyester material (PBT), with waterproof compounds filled inside the tubes. Non-metallic or metallic strength member are used at the center of the optical cable. The loose tubes (and possible filling ropes) are twisted around the central strength member to form a compact circular cable core. Aluminum tape may be longitudinally wrapped around the cable core and a layer of inner polyethylene sheath is extruded.Additional Glass yarns, flat FRP or round FRP armor, stainless steel tape and steel wire armor as anti-rodent material.Finally, a layer of outer polyethylene sheath is extruded to form the cable.
