Duct & Direct buried cable

Duct cable and direct buried cable are designed for underground installation in ducts or direct burial applications. With metallic/non-metallic armor, good tensile strength and excellent compression resistance.

Product Description
  • Direct burial fiber optic cables are constructed by housing single-mode or multimode optical fibers within loose tubes made of high-strength, moisture-resistant materials (typically PBT). The tubes are filled with waterproof gel or dry water-blocking compounds to prevent moisture ingress. A central non-metallic (FRP) or metallic strength member provides robust tensile reinforcement.
  • The loose tubes (along with optional filler rods) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact, circular cable core. The cable core is then shielded with high-performance dry water-blocking tapes or yarns for longitudinal moisture protection. For enhanced durability, an additional layer of corrugated steel tape (CST) or aluminum armor may be applied (metallic armored type) or replaced with non-metallic armor (e.g., glass yarn) . Finally, a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) outer sheath is extruded to provide superior abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance.
Product Advantages
